FIAT 131 ABARTH ALITALIA
Grafica Fiat 131 Abarth Alitalia Gr. 4 (1978).
The complete restoration of this car's graphics includes the implementation of the red and green Alitalia livery and all the writings and logos present on the original car.
Curiosity
Pubblimais therefore has the original Alitalia colors of the time and the molds for a faithful reproduction of the car's graphics.
Paint processing
The red and green Alitalia livery will be entirely painted like the original, with the same coded colors and period-specific painting methods, further enhancing the car's authenticity. The Alitalia and Lancia lettering (on all sides) will also be painted like the originals.
The liveries will not be created with computerized templates, but through a manual process, hand-tracing all the graphic elements with tape. This creates a non-artificial and non-replicable aesthetic, with a handcrafted feel: each graphic reproduction will be unique. The painted surfaces will also reflect the historical period, so modern high-gloss finishes will not be used where they were not present at the time.
Technical sponsors, brands, and logos (Bilstein, Magneti Marelli, Pirell, original Fiat spare parts, VS Corse oliofiat, etc.) will be produced using the highest-quality cast adhesive—with a protective lamination that protects against weathering and abrasion—to faithfully replicate the dimensions and colors of the originals. They can also be printed in "vintage" mode for an effect reminiscent of screen printing and historic stickers. Even stickers that originally had a transparent background will be faithfully replicated.
Adhesive processing
All graphics will be entirely decal-based, both for the technical sponsors and the Alitalia livery, creating an accurate replica of the painted version.
For the red and green Alitalia decal livery, we will use high-quality, conformable cast vinyl, applied using a heat-curved method for extremely long-lasting durability. This allows for application even on all rounded and curved body parts, grilles, and air intakes. If the car is sold, the decals can be completely removed without damaging the original car body.
