FIAT 124 SPOR SPIDER ABARTH ’72-73
Fiat 124 Abarth graphics from 1972-1973
The complete restoration of the graphics of this car includes the execution of the black livery on the front bonnet and all the writings and logos present on the original car.Curiosity
Of the Fiat 124 Abarth rally car, two versions with the same livery are known: the 1972 and 1973 versions. The car always raced on a red base with a matte black hood. The main difference lies in the design of the white side band, which in 1972 ran along the entire side of the car, while in 1972 it changed in inclination and height halfway down the car.
Paint processing
The black livery on the front bonnet , and the Fiat writings on the front and rear bonnet, the white side band and the white circles on the doors will be entirely made in paint like the original (only the small sponsors will be made in stickers) with the same colours and painting methods of the time, which give an additional value of authenticity to the car.
The rendering of the painted surfaces will take into account the historical period, therefore modern super glossy finishes will not be used where not present at the time.
The sponsors and smaller writings ( Pirelli, Carello, Olio Fiat, Total , etc.) will be made of the highest quality cast adhesive - with protective lamination against atmospheric agents and abrasions - to faithfully replicate the dimensions and colors of the originals.
Adhesive processing
All graphics will be entirely adhesive, both for the technical sponsors and the white stripe running along the bodywork, creating an accurate replica of the painted version. The sponsors will be made of high-quality cast adhesive—with a protective lamination against weathering and abrasion—to faithfully replicate the dimensions and colors of the originals.
For the black livery on the front hood (car wrapping method), we use high-quality, conformable cast vinyl, applied using a heat process for extremely long-lasting performance. If the vehicle is sold, the decals can be completely removed without damaging the original car body.
