FIAT 131 ABARTH 4 ROMBI CORSE
Fiat 131 Abarth 4 Rombi Corse VS Olio Fiat Gr. 4 graphics (1978).
The complete restoration of this car's graphics includes the execution of the yellow and blue VS Olio Fiat livery and all the writings and logos present on the original car.
Curiosity
The yellow-and-blue livery of this car was designed by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro, while Mais Vinicio, founder of Pubblimais, starting from Giugiaro's original drawings (still in the possession of Pubblimais), painted the first Fiat 131 in history with this livery. Pubblimais therefore owns the original VS Olio Fiat colors of the time and the molds for a faithful reproduction of the car's graphics.
Paint processing
The yellow-and-blue VS Olio Fiat livery will be entirely painted like the original, using the same codified colors and period-specific painting techniques, further enhancing the car's authenticity. The white and yellow VS Olio Fiat logos, the white Pirelli lettering, and the white 131 Mirafiori lettering will also be painted like the originals.
The liveries will not be created using computerized templates, but through a manual process, hand-tracing all the graphic elements with tape for a non-artificial and non-replicable aesthetic result with a handcrafted feel: each graphic reproduction will be unique. The painted surfaces will also reflect the historical period, so modern high-gloss finishes will not be used where not available at the time.
The technical sponsors, trademarks, and logos will be made using the highest-quality cast adhesive—with a protective lamination against atmospheric agents and abrasion—to faithfully replicate the dimensions and colors of the originals.
Adhesive processing
Starting from a yellow base, all graphics will be created entirely using adhesive, both for the technical sponsors and the blue VS Olio Fiat livery, creating an accurate replica of the painted version.
For the VS Olio Fiat decal livery, we will use high-quality, conformable cast adhesive vinyls, applied using a heat-curved method for extremely long durability, allowing for application even on all rounded and curved parts of the bodywork, grilles, and air intakes. If the vehicle is sold, the adhesive graphics can be completely removed without damaging the original car body.
The technical sponsors, brands, and logos will be created using high-quality cast adhesive—with a protective lamination against atmospheric agents and abrasion—to faithfully replicate the dimensions and colors of the originals.
Note: The decal livery can also be created starting from a blue base.
