LANCIA BETA MONTECARLO TURBO LANCIA CORSE GR. 5

Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo Lancia Corse Gr. 5 graphics (1980, Sportprototypes)

The complete restoration of this car's graphics includes the execution of the red Lancia Corse livery and all the writings and logos present on the original car.

Curiosity

This car's stunning livery was designed by Giorgio Rossotto of Abarth, the same Rossotto who, starting in 1985, collaborated fruitfully with Mais Vinicio to develop the Martini liveries for Lancia cars competing in the World Rally Championship. Pubblimais recently completely reconstructed the car's livery in paint. In addition to this red version, there were also twin versions of this livery: a blue one and a red-and-black one.

Paint processing

The starting point for this livery will be a red paint job for the entire body.

The white Lancia Corse livery will be completely painted like the original, using the same coded colors and period-specific painting techniques, further enhancing the car's authenticity. The Lancia shield on the front hood, the Lancia Montecarlo lettering on the front spoiler, and the Lancia lettering on the rear wing will also be painted like the originals.

The livery will not be applied to the fiberglass body using computerized templates, but rather manually, tracing all the graphic elements with tape. This creates an aesthetic that is not artificial or replicable, but rather has a handcrafted feel: each graphic reproduction will be unique. The rendering of the painted surfaces will also take into account the historical period, so modern high-gloss finishes will not be used where they were not present at the time.

The technical sponsors, brands, and logos (Magneti Marelli, Bilstein, Sabelt Britax, Heuer, Campagnolo, small Lancia shields, etc.) will be made of the highest-quality cast adhesive—with a protective lamination that protects against weathering and abrasion—to faithfully replicate the dimensions and colors of the originals. They can also be printed in "vintage" mode for an effect reminiscent of screen printing and historic stickers. Even stickers that originally had a transparent background will be faithfully replicated.

Adhesive processing

Starting from a red base, all graphics will be created entirely in-house using adhesive, both for the sponsors and the white Lancia Corse livery, creating an accurate replica of the painted version.

For the Lancia Corse decal livery, we will use high-quality, conformable cast adhesive vinyls, applied using a heat-curved method for extremely long life. This allows for application even on all rounded and curved body parts, grilles, and air intakes. If the car is sold, the adhesive graphics can be completely removed without damaging the original car body.
